Mushroom-Veggie-Burgers and Homemade French Fries (equals awesomeness!)

THIS recipe on vegetarian mushroom burger patties is simply AWESOME, specially for a good Sunday’s hangover meal with your friends!

HOMEMADE FRENCH FRIES
what you need:
– about 700g potatoes (I used 3 medium-sized potatoes)
– 4 tablespoons olive oil

how to do:
1. wash and cut the potatoes into sticks of the size you prefer
2. pour olive oil into a plate and bath the potatoes in it, one at a time (I removed some of the oil with my fingers after dipping them), put the oiled potatoes on a griddle with greaseproof paper.
3. bake in oven at 180 C degrees for about 45 minutes.

 

 

 

 

while waiting for the potatoes to get nice and golden in the oven, start up making the burger patties

MUSHROOM BURGER PATTIES (4 patties)
what you need:
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 large onion, finely chopped
– 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
– 2 large portobello mushrooms, chopped (remember to clean well before)
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 2 large egg whites
– salt & pepper

how to do:
1. heat olive oil in a big pan, saute onion and garlic.
2. add the portobello mushrooms, saute until soft and brown, put into a big bowl
3. add salt, pepper, and breadcrumbs into the mushroom mixture, mix
4. then add the egg whites and mix well
5. form 4 patties from the mince mixture and fry about 3 minutes on both sides.
